By now, I’m sure you have all heard of FitFlops, those magic flip-flops that give you a workout just by wearing them and walking around in them.  I’ve never personally tried them, but I know a few people who have.

Well, fabulous fashion designer Anna Sui has teamed up with FitFlop to create a winter-weather-appropriate version of the popular sandals.  The boots are available now, after a much anticipated release.

They come in three colors: black, chocolate brown, and turquoise.  Made entirely of suede, these ankle boots each have a studded star adorning the front of the boot – the brown and turquoise have gold hardware and the black has silver hardware.  Each boot is shearling-lined for extra winter warmth.  They retail for $195 a pair.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m an avid collector of limited edition handbags.  It’s just something about the fact that I can only get it for so long that makes it that much more enticing.  So when this beautiful Balenciaga popped up in my e-mail inbox, I fell in absolute love.

I have yet to own a Balenciaga becase I haven’t found my perfect Bal-bag yet.  Well ladies and gents, I think I have.  I know that my first Balenciaga will definitely be the iconic City – there’s no doubt about that.  But a City with a little sparkle and GIANT gold hardware?  Count me in.

Yesterday I did a little pre-holiday shopping – for myself, haha.  I stopped into Sephora specifically to pick up the Yves Saint Laurent holiday makeup kit.  I am huge fan of prepackaged makeup sets.  They are the perfect little gift for yourself, any time of the year.  I spotted this beauty in the Sephora holiday 2009 catalog I received in the mail earlier this week.  I have to admit – being a handbag lover – I was instantly attracted to the gorgeous black YSL clutch.  And for $60?  Come on, how could I resist.

So here’s my take on the set.  I think it is totally worth the price.  It includes a gorgeous, full size apricot-flavored lipgloss, a full size luminous radiance, a travel size mascara and a travel size eyeliner.  I used everything but the mascara last night before I went to dinner.  I love them all!  The eyeliner goes on so smoothly and it’s the perfect makeup bag size!

Now, the best part – the clutch.  As I said, the main reason I purchased the set was for the adorable black clutch.  It is one of the only makeup/perfume set bags that I’ve seen without the word “parfums” or something along those lines imprinted below the logo.  I was a little disappointed by the quality of it, however.  I guess one shouldn’t expect much for the price – considering the 4 cosmetic items that were included.  It is a little flimsy to touch, but at a glance it looks rather luxurious.

All in all, the YSL holiday 2009 gift set is worth every penny.  I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I did.  But get it fast, because this item is a limited edition and probably will sell out before Christmas.  Get it here @ Sephora.
